The Arabian Gulf League champions for 2020/21, Al Jazira Club, appointed All About Brands to create a new, modernized brand ready for the digital world but that still captured the heritage and history of the club. We evolved the club crest, developing its brand guidelines and a hierarchy for its subsidiary companies. We were also simultaneously appointed to deliver a full re-design and development of the Al Jazira website.
After an extensive Discovery phase, we developed a hybrid brand hierarchy and strategy for Al Jazira Club and its sub-brands, using the same colour palette and graphical elements to create an obvious association between all the brands.
The updated design introduced greater prominence to the traditional elements of the crest to amplify the clarity and readability, particularly important to enhance for digital and broadcast formats. We created comprehensive brand guidelines covering all touchpoints of the brand from the stadium through to the stationery.
The redesigned website is clean and contemporary with a simplified menu making the user experience intuitive and easy to navigate. We enhanced the use of content bringing videos, stats and imagery to the forefront placing football as the main focus to create a dynamic and engaging website.
Since launching, the refreshed crest and website have been universally well-received both by fans and the club’s Executive Board, and the new brand can be seen across the stadium and merchandise.
